Congratulations to our family nurse practitioner, Kristi Campbell, FNP. She has been working with our practice for the last 2 years and has developed a strong following! We are listing our new pricing for cosmetic procedures. You will find that compared to other offices and medspas, our prices are extremely affordable. We often get questions on why our prices are better than the competitors. Well, simply speaking, as a medical practice, our overhead is covered by our usual business. We don't need to sell outrageously expensive packages of services to cover the facility and personnel fees of an overpriced medspa. We also pledge not to run the "shell games" and "smoke and mirrors" of pricing common in the industry. Our prices are plain and straightforward. What you see is what you pay. So, if you can do without the waterfountains and mood music, we will provide quality service at a great price. For more information, go to our Cosmetic Dermatology page. We have acquired a new laser!!! This is a facial resurfacing laser called the Pearl from Cutera. It is unique because it gives dramatic improvement in skin texture, tone and color by vaporizing the outer layers of skin. It offers significant advantages over other laser technologies including Fraxel, CO2 laser and Erbium lasers. There is only about a 4 day period of "social downtime", but many of our patients can return to work and other usual activities the next day. Click here for more information. Contact us today to schedule your consultation. Check out our Online Housecalls service. This feature gives us the ability to conduct medical visits confidentially and securely - at a time and setting that is convenient for you. It is designed to provide an convenient alternative to in-office medical visits for treatment of common health problems. Dr. McNabb was the course chair and primary presenter of three 3-hour Joint Injections Procedures Workshops and a 1 hour general lecture on Joint Injections at the American Academy of Family Physicians Scientific Assembly Meeting in San Diego, CA from Sept. 17-19, 2008. He is scheduled to present a 2-hour workshop on Joint Injections at the North Carolina Academy of Family Physicians winter meeting in Asheville, NC on Dec. 4, 2008. From April 17-20, 2008 he served as the course chairman of the North Carolina Academy of Family Physicians Annual Spring Meeting. At the meeting Dr. McNabb lectured about melanoma to the general session and presented another 2 hour workshop on Joint Injections. In the last year, Dr. McNabb has presented five 2-day Dermatologic Procedures Courses for the National Procedures Institute. The conference locations were in Lake Tahoe, NV, Boston, MA, San Antonio, TX, Orlando, FL and Chicago, IL. These courses cover information for physicians including skin biopsies, cryosurgery, radiofrequency surgery, benign skin lesions, the sun and its effects, and skin cancers including basal cell, squamous cell and malignant melanoma. In August 2008, he finished writing the Cryosurgery chapter for the new Pfenninger and Fowlers Procedures for Primary Care Physicians - 3rd edition. In August 2005, Dr. McNabb successfully recertified for the American Board of Family Medicine. In 2005 Lippincott, Williams and Wilkins published his first book: A Practical Guide to Joint & Soft Tissue Injection & Aspiration. On October 15, 2005 this text was recognized as the first place winner in the physicians category for the American Medical Writers Association Medical Book Awards Competition!
